Even stronger than last year, this tournament attracted 22 nations (including Russia, Romania, Latvia, Czech Republic, Holland, Poland, Belgium, Bulgaria, Denmark, Austria, Sweden & Turkey) most of whom were using it as a selection event for the European Cadet Championships.
We had Georgina Davies (u63kg with 50 competitors) and Youcef Amouri (u50kg with 59 competitors) fighting, both did well with Georgina finishing 9th.
On their return both were greeted with the good news that they had been selected to represent Great Britain at the 2006 European Cadet Championships, to be held in Hungary in June.
Since the ECC -17 started in 2000 Willesden have had 17 members selected to represent Great Britain, winning 2 golds, 1 silver, 1 bronze and 5 seventh places.

Jerome Robinson-Reid was selected to represent Great Britain in this tough Junior Under 20 International, he had one fight and lost to Kovalski (POL).
Youcef Amouri and Georgina Davies were selected to represent Great Britain at this International Cadet Tournament where 28 countries were present.
Youcef won his first contest against Kasznar (SLO) then lost to Szentes (HUN).
Georgina lost her first contest to Bensz (POL).

With the addition of 2 golds from Kyle & Tyrell Clarke-Harewood from Moberly Judo Club and a 5th placing from Shervin Sepanji the 8 strong Brent Boys team won the trophy for "Best Borough" for the 4 consecutive year and for the 9th time in the past 14 years.
